Jessie Gofton is an industrious accountant with a dual major in Accounting and Financial Management from JCU Queensland and recently completed her CPA studies with CPA Australia. Jessie began her journey with COSCA as an intern in March 2021, transitioned to a full-time role in April 2021, and now manages a client base in Ingham while expanding to Charters Towers.
Professionally, Jessie excels in providing compliance and business management services, skills she extends into her roles as treasurer for the Seymour Rural Fire Brigade and The Ingham Sugar City Rodeo. Her commitment to the community is demonstrated through her involvement in various committees, including the Herbert River Show Association, where she was crowned 2022 Show Girl for the Ingham district. Jessie also won the NQ Queensland Showgirl title, representing North Queensland at the 2023 Queensland Country Life Showgirl Awards at the Brisbane Ekka.
On a personal level, Jessie enjoys the outdoors and spends her spare time on her Charters Towers property, tending to a small cattle herd, training and riding horses, and managing her lively kelpie dog. Despite a busy social life, she savours quiet moments with a good book and hot chocolate. Jessie's development plan includes pursuing Public Practice and Tax Agent Registrations, showcasing her dedication to professional growth and excellence.
